Change is the law of life. And those who look only to the past or present are certain to miss the future. – John F. Kennedy

The future is shifting. All around us we are seeing how the tides and swells are shaping the happy shores of our life. The same can be said for Xerox. After a somewhat rocky year, Xerox is making the intelligent changes to its structure without sacrificing the customer care we covet. In 2017, you will see a new division of Xerox.

In a statement issued by the company, they outlined what the current company will affect, and the new side to Xerox.

  • The Document Technology company, which will be called Xerox Corporation, will be a global leader in document management and document outsourcing with superior technology, solutions and innovation capabilities and had approximately $11 billion in 2015 revenue.
  • The Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) company, which will be named Conduent Incorporated after the completion of the separation, will be an industry leader that helps clients improve their flow of work by leveraging its expertise in managing transaction intensive processes. In 2015, it had approximately $7 billion in revenue.

Two CEOs have already been announced; Jeff Jacobson will take the reigns of Xerox and Ashok Vemuri will begin the journey with Conduent.

What is Conduent?

We’ve been hearing a lot about Xerox’ new business, Conduent. So…what is it?

Conduent is the brand new, exciting chapter in the history of Xerox. It will be focused on workflow. Conduent will begin its next chapter as a standalone company with a name that conveys the vital business we conduct every day, said Ursula Burns, chairman and chief executive officer of Xerox. Conduent is well-positioned to build on its strong heritage as a leader in business process services and will carry forward the values and culture of innovation, diversity and integrity from Xerox.

With approximately $7 billion in 2015 revenue and 96,000 employees worldwide, Conduent will be a Fortune 500 scale business process services company with expertise in transaction-intensive processing, analytics and automation. Xerox announced in June.
